Career
Lieutenant Brandon Scholes started his career with the Daly City Police Department in 2008. He served as a Patrol Officer, Crime Suppression Unit Officer and Detective. Brandon also held collateral assignments as a Field Training Officer, SWAT Team Member, SWAT Team Leader, Bicycle Patrol Unit Member and Emergency Vehicle Operations and Control Instructor. In 2019, he was promoted to Sergeant and was responsible for the direct supervision of Patrol Teams and later assigned as the Professional Standards Sergeant. On December 21, 2024, Brandon was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned as the Watch Commander on Patrol for Division A-2.
Education
After graduating from high school, Brandon attended California State University, Sacramento, where in 2007, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. In 2024, Brandon graduated from the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute. The Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute is a program designed to stimulate personal growth, leadership and ethical decision-making in California Law Enforcement front-line supervisors.
