Qualifications
To register to vote in California, you must be:
- A United States citizen
- A resident of California
- 18 years of age or older on Election Day
- Other requirements
Qualifications to Pre-register to Vote
- Be 16 or 17 years old, and
- Meet all other requirements
The California Voter's Choice Act aims to make voting more convenient and accessible:

Any voter in San Mateo County can go to any Vote Center to :
- Cast a ballot
- Request a replacement ballot
- Use an accessible voting machine to mark a ballot
- Register/Re-Register to vote
- Receive multilingual assistance
- Register and vote on the same day

11-Day Vote Center
October 25 to November 3, Hours 9am to 5pm; Election Day, November 4, Hours 7am to 8pm
