San Mateo County Health is actively working through the different phases of distribution quickly to direct the limited supply of vaccine to the identified priority groups. Currently, members of Phase 1A (healthcare workers and residents of long-term care facilities) and Phase 1B residents aged 65 and older are eligible for vaccination as supply allows, in keeping with the State’s guidance.
You can review the State’s phases and tiers of vaccine recipients online.
Beginning February 22, the County of San Mateo will expand COVID-19 vaccinations to teachers and child care providers, first responders and food and agricultural workers who are eligible under the state’s Phase 1B as supply allows.
We are committed to ensuring that everyone in San Mateo County who wants the vaccine will receive it.
Most San Mateo County residents will receive the vaccine from their primary care provider. Contact your health care provider for the most accurate and up to date information about when and how you can expect to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
