There are two, new drive-through COVID-19 vaccination opportunities for San Mateo County residents aged 65 or older. The vaccine is free and available to any San Mateo County resident aged 65 or older (and to health care workers in Phase 1A who remain eligible), regardless of health care provider or insurance coverage.
Residents must register in advance and bring a photo ID showing date of birth (and proof of health care worker eligibility status). No walk-up or on-site registration is available, and persons not meeting the eligibility criteria will have their appointments canceled and be turned away. Details can be found below and on the San Mateo County Health website. The webpage can be translated via google to Chinese, Filipino, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, and more.
Eligibility:
- 65 years or older and San Mateo County resident OR
- Healthcare worker (18 years or older) that lives or works in San Mateo County, with proof of employment (work ID, paystub, or invitation from County Health indicating they are a community COVID-19 testing staff/volunteers, that confirms their eligibility). This includes those working for County In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) (must show proof of IHSS credentials), OR
- A family member with a letter from the California Regional Center or medical documentation verifying the qualifying condition of a household member who has an intellectual or developmental disability.
