Message from the Director

Welcome to the City of Daly City - Public Works Department website.

As Daly City's Public Works Director, I look forward to improving and maintaining the community's infrastructure, facilities, and assets. Prior to joining the Daly City team in 2016, I worked for the Town of Woodside for nine years and the Town of Los Altos Hills for eight years as the Public Works Director/City Engineer. I also have another ten plus years working for the Federal Government and private design and construction firms. I am excited to work with elected officials, residents, businesses, and city staff to make Daly City a great place to live and work.

The Public Works Department is organized along the major service lines of Engineering and Maintenance and Administrative support. If you drive on the streets, walk down the sidewalks, or relax in city parks, libraries, or other public buildings you've already encountered Public Works and might not even have known it. We pave the streets, maintain public parks and buildings, and manage construction projects to rehabilitate these major public assets. Above all, we're dedicated to keeping your community safe, clean, and functioning.

I invite you to review our website and get to know the Public Works Department a little better. Stewardship of Daly City public infrastructure and its many buildings and parks is our number one priority. If you would like to report a problem or area of concern please visit the Daly City iHelp page. Additionally, the Daly City Street Sweeping Schedules as well as links to current Capital Projects are also available on our site. Here you will find up-to-date information pertaining to construction project status and information highlighting modified street sweeping schedules due to holidays, City Hall closures, or other events.

If you find that after you have reviewed the depth and breadth of our website and you still have questions please visit our Frequently Asked Questions page which addresses some of our most common inquires from residents.

As always, we want your feedback. If you have suggestions that will help the Public Works Department improve its service delivery, or have a question that you could not find answered on our website, please call the Public Works main line at 650-991-8038, or email me directly.
