KEN WILLIAMS
Ken
is the Center’s consultant on credit, finance
and business planning. He has eighteen years’
experience in commercial banking and five years’
experience in community development lending.
For the past four years he has been an independent
management consultant to small businesses and
an analyst for economic development agencies
attempting to get money into the hands of entrepreneurs.
“The
most valuable line on my resume is the one involving
failure,” Ken says. “My wife and I launched
a business without doing detailed planning and
without committing adequate capital. We struggled
for two years, didn’t make a dime and died in
the marketplace for all the world to see. I
learned volumes of wisdom from that experience
and I love sharing those volumes with our clients.”
