PRESENTATION:
Proclamation for Groundwater Awareness Week
Mayor Gomez presented a proclamation to Patrick Sweetland proclaiming the week of March 11-17, 2007 as Groundwater Awareness Week. Mr. Sweetland thanked the Council.

CONSENT AGENDA
Mayor Gomez stated that Item No. 4, Authorizing the City Manager to Execute the Building Owner’s Agreement, Assignment of Risk, Release of Liability and Indemnification between the City of Daly City and Rebuilding Together Peninsula for a Repair Project at the Westmoor Park Clubhouse, would be taken at the end of the Consent Agenda.

It was moved by Councilmember Klatt, seconded by Councilmember Guingona and carried to approve and adopt the Consent Agenda, as amended.
RESOLUTIONS:
Authorizing the City Manager to Execute the Building Owner’s Agreement, Assignment of Risk, Release of Liability and Indemnification between the City of Daly City and Rebuilding Together Peninsula for a Repair Project at the Westmoor Park Clubhouse
Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation Ed Barney gave a brief review on the repair project at Westlake Park Clubhouse. Staff is requesting that the City Council adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute the Building Owner’s Agreement, Assignment of Risk, Release of Liability and Indemnification between the City of Daly City and Rebuilding Together Peninsula for a Repair Project at the Westmoor Park Clubhouse.
It was moved by Councilmember Christensen, seconded by Councilmember Klatt and carried by unanimous roll call vote to adopt the following resolution:

ORDINANCES:
Second Reading – Ordinance No. 1330, Amending 10.44, Title 10 of the Daly City Municipal Code by Addition of Section 10.44.08 Establishing that Excessive Acceleration of Motor Vehicles Causing Audible Noise or Skidding is an Infraction
It was moved by Councilmember Guingona, seconded by Councilmember Christensen and carried by unanimous roll call vote to adopt the following ordinance:

County Committee
Councilmember Torres gave the following reports:
The Airport Roundtable Committee members decided that they will meet bi-monthly because it is no longer necessary to meet monthly.
City/County Association of Government (C/CAG) Committee approved funding for improvements at the Daly City BART Station. The Committee elected a new chairperson Debra Wilson from Woodside, and a new vice chairperson Tom Kasten from Hillsborough. A report was given on the housing needs in San Mateo County. He stated he was going to leave the report with the City Clerk.
