FIRE MARSHAL/ FIRE PREVENTION SERVICES CHIEF

$10,595-$12,878 (Monthly)

40 hrs/wk. This position is NOT in Civil Service.

Reqs: Experience: Five years of full time experience as a paid Fire Inspector or Fire Prevention Officer that includes full-time experience in work utilizing codes, regulations, ordinances and standards relating to Public Health and Safety, Fire Protection Engineering or Building Construction. Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Administration, Fire Protection Technology, or Public Administration, or the ability to attain a Bachelor’s Degree within 2 years of appointment. Certification: Possession of valid California State Board of Fire Services' Certificates as a Fire Prevention Officer III or Fire Marshal, and Fire Investigation I. Chief Officer Certification is desired. Valid Class C CA Driver’s License.
