HOUSING/HOUSING DISCRIMINATION |
|
Daly City is committed to ensuring that all residents
and people seeking to live in the City have equal
opportunity to housing choices. Compliance with fair
housing laws enables Daly City to foster and maintain
its uniquely diverse population. Under federal and
State laws, it is illegal to discriminate in the sale,
rental, marketing and financing of housing based on
race, religion, national origin, age, sex, disability,
presence of children, marital status, sexual orientation,
or any other arbitrary reason.
Along
with disseminating fair housing information to the
public, the City provides assistance through several
nonprofit public service providers for people who
have experienced unfair housing practices. If you
feel you may have experienced housing discrimination
or need professional advice on whether or not you
are a victim of discrimination, please feel free to
contact the appropriate organizations listed below.
