Description:
|
The volunteer Tutor will assist Jr. High and High
School students with class homework and assignments.
|

Example of Duties:
-
Test students using materials they bring
-
Work on special projects such as reports, science
projects and the like, and general tutorial assistance,
especially in math.

Make sure student surveys and report cards are
tracked and included in each students' file.

Qualifications:
|
-
This position is open to adults of all ages, teachers,
college students, and high school students.

It is recommended that tutors be sensitive to
cultural differences.

Respect is a must! Patience and the will to empathize
with students on "touchy subjects" will assist
in building the confidence in every student.

It is preferred that you select the subject (s)
you are most comfortable and familiar with.

The center encourages volunteers who are bilingual
