Description:
|
The volunteer Playground Recreation Aide will support
staff in offering recreation and tutorial programs
to elementary school children, ages 7 - 12 years old.
On-site training will be provided. The volunteer will
also have the opportunity to develop special events
or programs that utilize his/her particular skills
and interests.

Example of Duties:
-
Assist in managing outdoor games like kickball,
dodge ball and jump rope
-
Help with indoor games, arts and crafts, and board
games
-
Accommodate some children's request for assistance
with homework
-
Help with playground sports
|
Qualifications:
|
-
Position is open to teens and adults alike.
-
Some experience working with children preferred
but not required.
-
Ability to demonstrate initiative, independence
and willingness to work with groups of young children.
