Fire
Prevention or Earthquake Preparedness Classes
Offered by Daly City Fire Department
Destructive fires and earthquakes are always a possibility.
Much of the injury and damage which is involved in either
situation can be avoided or minimized by citizens who
are educated about the hazards and how to prepare for
them.
At no cost to you or your organization, a Fire Safety
Program or Earthquake Preparedness Program
is available through the Daly City Fire Department.
The presentations are 45 minutes each in length and
consist of a short lecture, and practical methods on
how to prepare for either an earthquake or a fire.

Fire
safety should be practiced each day, here are
just a few reminders:
- Install
and maintain a smoke detector on every
level of your home or apartment.
- Practice
your home fire escape plan.
- Keep
matches and lighters out of the hands of children.
- Remove
combustibles from heat sources.
- Give
space heaters, space around them.
