Daly
City, CA – Have you wanted to stop by the
Health Clinic lately but haven’t found the time?
On Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.,
a Family Health Fair will be held at Serramonte
Center in Daly City to provide screenings and
healthy tips for family members of all ages.
Various health organizations will offer on site
screenings, useful information, and additional
referrals to interested residents.
Health
agencies participating will include The Asian
American Donor Program, Mills Peninsula Health
Services, San Mateo County Health Department,
Seton Medical Center, and Strides for Life –
Colossal Colon. Exhibitors will have information
on ways to create a healthy lifestyle, as well
as to record one’s personal health information.
Throughout
the event, children will be able to enjoy face
painting. In addition, there will be raffle
drawings for prizes donated from various local
companies and agencies.
The
annual event is sponsored by the Daly City ACCESS
program. Daly City ACCESS is a collaboration
of community-based service agencies and individuals
that formed in 2001 and is sponsored by the
Senior/Adult Division of the Daly City Parks
and Recreation Department.
