Draft 2006-2010 Implementation Plan for the Mission Street-Junipero Serra Boulevard Commercial Business District Project Area

You are invited to a Community Meeting to review and discuss the Draft 2006-2010 Implementation Plan for the Mission Street-Junipero Serra Boulevard Commercial Business District Project Area. The Plan is required under California Redevelopment Law and provides a guideline for Redevelopment Agency activities over the next five years.

The major goals outlined in the draft plan are:

·         Facilitate economic development and create employment opportunities

·         Encourage and support community participation

·         Improve infrastructure and public facilities

·         Improve Mission Street as a commercial corridor

·         Promote and create affordable housing

The Plan provides an overview of potential future Redevelopment Agency activities for the Project Area as well as an estimate of costs and projected revenues for implementing those activities.

The Community Meeting will include facilitated group dialogs about Redevelopment Agency goals and objectives. The meeting is designed to offer a friendly, open and encouraging forum for community discussion and to provide guidance to the City as it refines the draft plan.

If you have any questions, please call Betsy ZoBell or Bob Hauser at (650) 991-8068.

Copies of of the Draft Implementation Plan (Revision 1, January 30, 2007) are available for review at the Daly City libraries, City Hall and by clicking here.
