  • If your unable to attend our Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat at Westlake Park, join us for our Halloween Virtual contests.  This year we will be holding two virtual contests.
  • Dress your dog, cat or four legged critter for this Halloween and enter our Halloween Costumed Critters Photo Contest!
  • Have no pet, then decorate your home and enter our Haunted Home Decorating Contest!
  • In addition to our Drive-Thru Trunk or Treat and contests, we are also providing our youth with Halloween Adventure Kits which include crafts, projects, tricks, treats and more for a small price.

Food Programs During COVID-19

If you are a Daly City senior age 60 years or older, and you are feeling insecure about your current access to food, you can call a hotline to be connected to food resources in our community.  The hotline number is (650) 991-8012.   If you know of a senior citizen in your neighborhood who might need help, check on them, and refer them to the hotline if they are in need of nutrition and sustenance.

If you are not a senior citizen, but you are experiencing food insecurity in your household, you can call the Food Connection Line at Second Harvest Food Bank to learn about programs in the Daly City community.  The Food Connection Line is (800) 984-3663.  You can also visit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley's website by clicking here.

Second Harvest Food Bank is striving to meet the nutritional and sustenance needs of our community.

Currently there are two emergency food distributions that operate as a drive-through only service at Westlake Park/Doelger Senior Center, 145 Lake Merced Blvd., Thursdays from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m., and Fridays from 10:00am to 12 noon. You must register for the food distribution on site.  No walks ups, please.

The Second Harvest Produce Mobile is serving residents near the Lincoln Park Community Center the second Wednesday of each month from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
