Using the Library During the Shelter-in-Place Order

The Daly City Public Libraries are closed until further notice due to the Shelter-in-Place order.

The Daly City Public Library is still here to meet your educational and recreational needs during the closure. Use your library card to download ebooks and audio books, watch streaming video, read electronic magazines, and much more.

Get a Card

Apply for a card and start downloading OverDrive ebooks and audiobooks right away.

Please contact us at dcplref@plsinfo.org to upgrade your card for full access to our eLibrary.

Holds by Mail

Items currently available at any of the Daly City Public Libraries can be mailed to patrons living in Daly City or Colma. There is no charge for this service. Requested items will be mailed within a week and are limited to four items. Search our catalog to check availability and then submit your request through our holds request form.

Overdue Items and Late Fees During the Closure

It is not necessary to return any library materials during the closure. Overdue fines and late fees will not be assessed. All materials are now due on July 31, 2020.

Community History Project

The Library invites you to contribute to a community-wide record of the COVID-19 public health emergency by sharing your experiences for our Community History Project.

Emagazines

RBdigital Emagazines offers complete digital editions of over 200 magazines, including Bon Appetit, Cosmopolitan, Forbes, National Geographic, Newsweek, New Yorker, Smithsonian, Highlights, and American Girl. Check out as many magazines as you want. Magazines stay on your device until you delete them.

Streaming Video

Kanopy is a streaming video platform that offers a large collection of award-winning films and documentaries. Kanopy Kids is a collection of movies and shows for children.
