Daly City’s 13th Annual Women’s History Month Celebration set for Thursday, March 1, at City Hall

Daly City’s 13th Annual Women’s History Month Celebration will take place on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers and Rotunda at City Hall, 333 90th Street, Daly City. The Women’s History Month commemoration will feature remarks by Daly City Mayor Juslyn C. Manalo and a keynote address by Susan Manheimer, Chief of Police of the City of San Mateo. The theme for this year’s event is “Nevertheless She Persisted: Honoring Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.” The evening will also feature a screening of the film Hidden Figures.

Digital Bookmobile to Make Stop at Serramonte Library on Monday, February 12

The Digital Bookmobile National Tour is making a stop at the Serramonte Main Library on Monday, February 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Traveling coast to coast, the newly updated mobile exhibit will provide an interactive experience for readers of all ages to explore eBooks and audiobooks . A high-tech update to the traditional bookmobile, visitors can learn how to borrow digital books, stop at the Gadget Gallery to explore a variety of devices, talk with eReading experts and so much more. Tours are free and open to the community.
