RESOLUTIONS:

10.       Conceptual Review CR08-5 – Conceptual Review for Ivy Nail and Hair Salon

            6801 “A” Mission Street

Richard Berger, Economic & Community Development Director, presented the staff report requesting the Agency grant conceptual approval for Ivy Nail and Hair Salon at 6801 “A” Mission Street.  The valuation for the improvements is over $10,000, thereby requiring Conceptual Review.

The Agency’s Mission Street Committee met on May 20, 2008 to evaluate the proposal and forwarded a recommendation to grant approval for the proposed tenant improvement with conditions.  This site is under code enforcement for conducting construction work without a building permit.  There are two separate permits for the tenant space, an approved permit for exterior signs and a pending application for interior tenant improvements that were initiated prior to obtaining a building permit.  The proposed salon will occupy space in the building where a parking variance was approved in 1988-89.  No additional parking is required.

It was moved by Director Torres, seconded by Director Christensen, and carried to adopt the following resolution:

RA08-008

A Resolution of the Daly City Redevelopment Agency Approving Conceptual Review

(CR08-5) to Locate Ivy Nail And Hair Salon Use At 6801 “A”  Mission Street, Daly City, California>

The Agency’s Mission Street Committee met on May 20, 2008 to evaluate the proposal and forwarded a recommendation to grant approval for the proposed tenant improvement with conditions. The proposed salon will occupy space in the building where a parking variance was approved for the mixed uses when it was developed in 1988-89.  No additional parking is required.
