MINUTES – OCTOBER 22, 2007

 

 

The meeting was called to order by Chair Gomez at 8:24 P.M.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

 

It was moved by Director Torres, seconded by Director Christensen and carried to approve the minutes for the Regular Meeting of September 10, 2007.

 

APPROVAL OF AGENDA:

 

It was moved by Director Torres, seconded by Director Christensen and carried to approve the Agenda for October 22, 2007.

RESOLUTIONS:

 

10.  Conceptual Review CR07-7 -   Coffee Shop/Roaster, Laundromat, and Restaurant

      2501, 2505, and 2511 Geneva Avenue

 

Richard Berger, Economic & Community Development Director presented the staff report requesting the Agency  grant conceptual approval to locate a coffee shop/roaster, Laundromat, and restaurant at 2501, 2505, and 2511 Geneva Avenue.

 

The applicant, Jimmy Tran, is requesting conceptual approval to complete interior renovations and façade improvements for the building located at the northeast corner of Geneva Avenue and Pueblo Street.  The existing building consists of three individual tenant spaces.  In addition to conceptual approval, the applicant is requesting participation the Façade Improvement Program.  The subject building appears to have been constructed in 1966 and has been used for various purposed since that time.  The building is located within the Bayshore Redevelopment Project Area and includes renovations that exceed $10,000 valuation.  Conceptual approval is therefore required.

 

It was moved by Director Christensen, seconded by Director Guingona, and carried by unanimous roll call vote to adopt the following resolution:

(CR07-7) to Locate a Coffee Shop/Roaster, Laundromat and Restaurant at 2501, 2505 and 2511 Geneva Avenue, Daly City, California
