  • Custodial Services Supervisor: This full time position is not in Civil Service. $5505-$6692 monthly. 40 hours/week. Hours: 6:00pm-2:30am Experience: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in performing semi-skilled work in custodial maintenance of commercial buildings or offices; at least two (2) years of which was served in a supervisory capacity. Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent. AA Degree or higher in related field highly desirable. License: Possession of a valid Class C CDL. Physical Requirements: Moderate and sometimes strenuous exertion required, including sustained walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and lifting. Works in adverse weather conditions from time to time. May be exposed to dirt, noise, uneven surfaces, and/or extreme heat or cold when in the field, and may be required to sit for long periods of time using a keyboard and mouse.   • Plant & Equipment Maintenance Supervisor: This full time position is not in Civil Service. $8361-$10161 monthly. 40 hours/week. Experience: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance of water or wastewater treatment plant equipment, and/or water distributoin/wastewater collection system with at least three (3) years of which were in a supervisory and/or lead capacity. Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent. College coursework in engineering, industrial arts or a related discipline can be substituted for experience on a year for year basis up to a maximum of two years. Continuing education in related subjects, supervision and project management is desirable. Certificates/Licenses: Possession or acquisition within two years from date of appointment of a Grade IV Mechanical Technologist Certificate issued by the CWEA. Possession or acquisition within one year from date of appointment of a T2 Water Treatment Operator Certificate or D3 Water Operator Distribution Certificate issued by the CA Department of Health Services. Possession of a valid Class C CDL. Physical Requirements: Moderate, and sometimes strenuous exertion required, including crawling, regular stair climbing of many flights, lifting, carrying or handling of up to 50 lbs for 30 minutes. Work in confined areas, hazardous atmospheres and in protective garments. May work in conditions which require exposure to noise, noxious odors, gases, and contact with wastewater.
