Notice of Election





            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the DALY CITY General Municipal Election will be consolidated with San Mateo County in the Statewide Presidential Election to be held on Tuesday, the 8th day of November 2016.


            The following offices are to be filled:


                        Member of the City Council (Full term of Four Years)

                        Member of the City Council (Full term of Four Years)

                        City Clerk                              (Full Term of Four Years)

                        City Treasurer                        (Full Term of Four Years)


            The locations of the Polling Places in Daly City will be the same as provided by the County of San Mateo.


            The polls will open from 7:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M.


            Nomination papers shall be furnished by and thereafter filed with the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 333 – 90th Street, Daly City, California, during regular business hours.  The nomination period begins Monday, July 18, 2016 and closes Friday, August 12, 2016.


            If nomination papers for an incumbent elective officer are not filed by 5:00 P.M. on August 12, 2016, the period shall be extended to Wednesday, August 17, 2016.


            Appointment to each elective office may be made if no one or only one person is nominated for an elective office as prescribed by Elections Code Section 10229.
