Afterschool Youth Recreation Program

To serve the community of Daly City, the Afterschool Youth Recreation Program (AYRP) is offered at four Daly City Elementary schools. The program is for children in 1st through 6th grades. AYRP strives to offer a safe and welcoming environment that encompasses homework assistance, creative activities, participation in youth athletics, healthy snacks and having fun! Our staff provide participants with:

  • A safe environment to socialize and recreate with peers.
  • Programming to assist in learning life skills, thinking and active play.
  • A program that incorporates elements of the Six Pillars of Character:
Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship
  • Activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts, dance, and seasonal activities.
  • Participation in the Yuletide Holiday Celebration and Talent Show.

Professional, trained and dedicated staff are assigned at each site to supervise and introduce your child to the various recreation activities.
