Computers

The Daly City Public Library provides access to computers with internet and Microsoft Office applications at all four locations. Certain restrictions apply. For more information, or to make a reservation, read our Public Use Computer page. Computers dedicated to research are also available at all locations. Library subscription databases, live online tutoring, select job search websites, government websites, and more are accessible on these computers with no time limit. Printing is available from public computers. Printers are black & white laser printers; color printing is not currently available. All prints are 15¢ per page. Free wireless internet access is also available all our locations for those with wireless-enabled laptops. For more information, visit our Wireless Network page . |
Photocopiers

There are self-service photocopiers at all library locations. All copies are 15¢ per page. All copiers are coin-operated; they accept $1, $5, and $10 bills and they do provide change. All copies are black & white; color copies are not currently available. |
Typewriters

There are electric typewriters for public-use at the Serramonte Main Library and Westlake Branch. There is no charge for using the typewriter, but patrons must provide their own paper. If necessary, paper can be purchased from the Check Out Desk for 15¢ per page (the cost of a printed or copied page). Word processing may be done on any of the public-use computers at all library locations. The program available is Microsoft Word. |
Microfilm Reader

There is a microfilm reader at the Serramonte Main Library. The reader accepts both microfilm and microfiche. Copies of microfilm can be made from the reader for 15¢ per page. The Library has a number of publications available on microfilm, including the Daly City Record, the San Francisco Chronicle, Vogue, and Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps. |
