Viewing Your Library Account
with the Online Catalog
Logging InYour library card barcode number is your library account number. Be careful not to lose your card and never give your card number to anyone other than Library staff.
Items Checked OutAll items checked out on your account will be listed when you click the items currently checked out link. From this list, you can check the due date and renew. For more information on renewing, please click here. Holds (Requested Items)By clicking on the Requests (Holds) link, you can see a list of all the items you have reserved and whether or not each is ready to be picked up. Only items not yet checked out will be on this list. If you no longer want an item, cancel by clicking the checkbox next to the item and then clicking the Cancel Request button. You can only cancel requests before they arrive at the library. If you want to cancel after that, you will need to call the library location where the item is being held for you. If you do not cancel, the item will be sent back after 9 days and you will still be charged the 75¢ hold fee. Fines/BlocksYou can check to see if you owe any fines or fees by looking for a unpaid fines and bills link. If you see a link, click on it to see a list of the charges. If you do owe fines, you will need to pay before you can check out anything else. Please note: hold fees are now charged when you place a hold rather than when you pick it up, however, we do not collect the fee until you pick up the item. Your Address and Phone NumberYou can check the address and phone number we have on record on the main My Record page, however, you must visit the Library is person and present photo ID and proof of new address (a piece of mail is adequate) if you need to change this information. This requirement is for your protection. E-Mail AddressE-mail notification saves trees and is quick and convenient. You can sign up for e-mail notification, or update your e-mail address, by clicking the Modify Personal Info button, entering your address on the popup window, then clicking the Submit button. Your PIN (Personal Identification Number)The purpose of the PIN is to protect your account from unauthorized use. Your PIN is set by you the first time you log in to your account on the Online Catalog. Simply enter the number or password you would like to use when you log in; you will be asked to re-enter it for verification after you click the Submit button. If you have forgotten your PIN, you will need to visit the Library in person for assistance. Please note: the PIN used for accessing the public computers is not necessarily the same as the one used to access your account. You set your PIN for the public computers the first time you log in as well, but the systems are separate. If you have forgotten this PIN, speak with a library staff member when you are at the library.
If you have any questions about your account, have your library card handy and call your local library location. | |||||
