Board of Trustees

The Library Board of Trustees is a citizen's advisory board appointed by the City Council. Members serve 3-year terms.

Library Board Mission

The Daly City Library Board of Trustees in its advisory role shall:

  1. Advocate literacy for all ages and all people
  2. Communicate constituent needs to the City Council and library staff
  3. Facilitate fulfillment of the Library's future needs and vision

Meet the Board of Trustees

Angella Logarta, President



Angella Logarta is a long time resident of Daly City where she’s also attended school and worked.

She has worked for Wells Fargo Bank since 2013 and currently serves as a Community Branch Manager/ Assistant Vice President for the San Francisco Bay Region. Angella loves the banking industry and has held several senior titles during her career.

She works daily to ensure customer care, team member engagement and operational efficiency. Angella has one daughter, Robyn (9) attends elementary school in Daly City where Angella volunteers periodically. A strong advocate for literacy for all ages, public schools, and community service, Angella welcomes the opportunity to make an impact in her community by serving as a member of the Library Board of Trustees. She was appointed on Sept. 19, 2017.

Justine Santos, Trustee

Justine Santos is an education organizer and current Daly City resident. Though relatively new, within the last decade Justine has worked at different capacities with Daly City and San Francisco families doing leadership development and community organizing around housing, education and social justice issues, especially those impacting historically underserved communities. She is the Lead Organizer for Californians for Justice in Oakland, organizing high school students and developing their leadership skills to transform schools and districts, exercise the power of youth voice and advocate for quality education throughout California.

Justine believes in education as critical to thriving, sustainable and healthy communities and sees literacy as key to a quality education. She was appointed to the Library Board of Trustees in February of 2019 and looks forward to working closely with youth, families, staff and community to envision and implement innovative library structures and services throughout Daly City and support literacy for all ages.
