American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). ARRA will provide a total of $843,707 in one time allocations of Community Development Block Grant – Recovery (CDBG-R) and Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) funds.
  • Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP)
         Under the ARRA, the City will receive a one time allocation of HPRP funds in the amount of $510,070. To account for these funds, the City has made a substantial amendment to its HUD FY08/09 Action Plan. To view the substantial amendment, please click here.
  • Community Development Block Grant - Recovery
         The City will receive a one time allocation of CDBG-R funds under the ARRA in the amount of $333,637. The City has detailed its proposed uses of these funds in a substantial amendment to its HUD FY08/09 Action Plan.          On July 9, 2012, the City Council approved a substantial amendment to re-allocate unused CDBG-R funds toward a residential rehabilitation loan for a low-income Daly City household in need of home repairs for their health and safety.
