Business Counselling Available at EDC
Formerly Called "Small Business Center)
If you are a business owner with questions about planning, financing, marketing or managing your business, you can obtain free one-to-one assistance at the Enterprise Development Center. The Center is a central linking point for a variety of resources and services of the federal, state and local governments with those of the private sector. The Center Coordinator, a Business Development Advisor and three Counselors from the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) provide business counseling, technical assistance and referral, by appointment, to established and prospective small business owners.
Several new programs including a business planning seminar series and a team mentoring program are being developed and will be offered in the fall. The Center also maintains a resource library for use by counseling clients. The Center Coordinator assists applicants in preparing their loan applications for the Daly City Micro Loan Program, which offers loans from $5,000 to $25,000 to qualifying small business owners.
The Enterprise Development Center is administered and funded by the City of Daly City. Additional support and funds are provided by Daly City/Colma Chamber of Commerce, Sanwa Bank California, Bank of America, Bay View Federal Bank, First National Bank of Northern California, Peninsula Bank of Commerce and the Fred Gellert Foundation. The Center offices are located at 355 Gellert Boulevard, Suite 270 at the Daly City Business Center. For more information or to make an appointment, contact the Center at (650) 991-5103.
