WILSHIRE TRAIL GETS MAKEOVER

Collaborative Team Leads Clean-Up Efforts

Daly City - The Wilshire Trail, an underutilized bike and walk way that connects Daly City and San Francisco alongside Highway 1, is getting a much-needed makeover starting on Wednesday, April 23rd through Friday, April 25th. A multi-agency clean-up crew is scheduled to work for portions of each day with goals to transform the area into a popular path.

Leading the makeover project is a collaborative team that includes the City and County of San Francisco, CalTrans, San Francisco Golf Club, PG&E and the City of Daly City’s Public Works Department – Streets and Maintenance Divisions, Parks and Recreation Department and Police Department.

The trail, which is about one-third of a mile long, is located between Wilshire Court in Daly City and 19th Avenue in San Francisco. It runs alongside Highway 1 and the San Francisco Golf Course. For more information about this clean-up project, call (650) 991-8137.
