Daly City - Grand opening festivities for the Hillside Park clubhouse and tot lot will start at 11 a.m., this Saturday, April 26th.

The new Hillside Park Clubhouse is a 1,200-square foot modular building with a spacious multi-purpose room, a small meeting room and a storage area. The $505,000 project, which is part of Daly City’s five-year $40 million capital improvements program, also includes a new tot lot and play equipment.

The architect for the project was Mock/Wallace, Barcelon & Jang of San Francisco. The landscape was designed by MIG of Davis, California. The site contractor was San Francisco’s L&B Engineering. Ecocrete, Inc. was the building manufacturer, and Quickset Construction of Oakland was the building contractor.

This summer, the brand-new facility will be the site of several summer playground programs and camps for young children and teens. The clubhouse will also serve as a meeting place for neighboring community groups and homeowners associations.

The re-opening of the park, located at 222 Lausanne Avenue (north of East Market), will be a welcomed springtime treat for the Hillside neighborhood. City officials and members of the Hillside Homeowners Improvement Association are expected to attend the celebration. Refreshments will be served. The public is invited.
