STREET REPAIRS ADVISORY
FOR AVALON CANYON RESIDENTS

Daly City – Bay Pacific Pipelines, under contract with the City of Daly City, will be working on routine seasonal maintenance and slope drainage repairs in the lower portion of Avalon Canyon, west of Avalon Drive, until mid-December.

Planned repairs include cleaning out all debris in a ruptured drainpipe, as well as fixing the breach and lining it with high-density polyethylene pipe to accommodate any slope movements. The construction project will also restore and hydro seed a small-localized landslide in the canyon, and cover it with erosion prevention blankets.

To complete the work, equipment and materials will be transported into, and out of, Avalon Canyon. Designated work hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. No parking restrictions are planned for area residents, although there will be some construction traffic during the designated period.

“The City apologizes for any inconvenience, and greatly appreciates the cooperation of the residents in the neighborhood as we work to keep Avalon Canyon safe and secure,” said D. Peter Gleichenhaus, director of the City’s Public Works Department.
