Mayor Thanks Students for Making a Difference

DALY CITY MAYOR TO THANK STUDENTS AT HALLOWEEN PARADES FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Three Elementary Schools on Itinerary

Daly City - Mayor Carol L. Klatt will visit three local schools during their respective Halloween Parades on Wednesday, October 31st, starting at 1 p.m.. Mayor Klatt is expected to THANK the schools, teachers and students for their participation in this weekend's Make A Difference Day, where volunteers delivered nearly 600 greeting cards made by the school children to 400 seniors at three convalescent homes in Daly City.

Each participating classroom will receive a Halloween "treat" bag with Make A Difference Day souvenir items, and one or two (disposable) cameras for teachers to take pictures of the students during the early afternoon Halloween parades. The Mayor's itinerary is as follows:

1 p.m. Westlake Elementary School, 80 Fieldcrest Drive, Daly City, (650) 991-1252 (at the blacktop)
1:30 p.m. Our Lady of Mercy School, 1 Elmwood Ave., Daly City, (650) 756-3395 (students will parade around the block)
2:15 p.m. M. Pauline Brown Elementary, 305 Eastmoor Ave., Daly City, (650) 991-1243
(Halloween parade will end at 2 p.m.. Mayor will address the students via the Public Address System around 2:20 p.m.)
