CITY TO UPDATE HOUSING ELEMENT IN GENERAL PLAN,
SEEKS COMMUNITY INPUT
City - How
can Daly City meet the housing needs of its diverse
community, from homeowners to renters, working
families with children to seniors?
To assess the myriad housing needs of its residents,
the City of Daly City will host a community workshop
at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2001. It
will be held at the City Hall Council Chambers,
located at 333 - 90th Street.
The public workshop will include an overview of
the State law requiring every city to include
a Housing Element in its General Plan. The Housing
Element reflects the city's housing policies and
programs. A draft summary of the proposed Housing
Element will also be presented.
"We want to engage our residents in a meaningful
discussion as we look for creative ways to preserve,
improve and develop housing for households from
all income levels in Daly City," commented
Mayor Carol Klatt.
