Streetlight Outage in part of Daly City - RO 256

On April 26th, the streetlight circuit failed in the area bordered by Skyline Drive on the east and Westmoor Avenue on the south. This area is served by "series" wired streetlights identified by City Staff as RO-256. Series wired street lights fail in groups, typically leaving an entire neighborhood without streetlights. Due to the high voltage used in RO circuits, or because PG&E equipment is involved, city staff can't perform repairs or need extensive coordination with PG&E to do so. Public Works staff has confirmed that the circuit failure is within the section maintained by the City of Daly City. Public Works staff has notified PG&E requesting them to de-energize the circuit. Once the circuit is de-energize staff will begin to make the necessary repairs.

For updated information over the next few weeks, please call Public Works at (650) 991-8038 or Street Maintenance (650) 991-8097.
