City offices closed for the winter holidays

In response to the continued financial challenges facing the City of Daly City, City offices, including libraries and recreation facilities, will be closed from Friday, December 23, 2011 through Monday, January 2, 2012. City Hall will re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. During this period, parking enforcement to accommodate street sweeping will be suspended. Street sweeping and parking enforcement will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Garbage and recycling collection will follow the regular schedule throughout the holiday season.

 The Daly City Police and Fire Departments will remain open throughout the holidays. To report an emergency, dial 911. Call (650) 991-8119 to report non-emergencies to the Daly City Police Department.

 Allied Waste’s offices will be open during the holidays. There will be NO service interruptions this holiday season. Follow your regular collection schedule. Christmas tree collection will take place on regular service days beginning December 26, 2011 through January 20, 2012. Please follow these collection guidelines when placing your tree out for collection:
 • Tree must be cut into 4 ft. sections.
 • Stands, lights and decorations must be removed.
 • Flocked trees will be collected but not recycled.
 • Multi-family residents must call Customer Service to arrange for pickup.
 • Place trees next to yard waste cart for removal.
 • After January 20, please call customer service for tree pick-up. A fee will apply for trees collected after January 20.
