Miracle on Main Street Holiday Parade Set for Saturday, December 3

Daly City residents, family and friends are welcome to celebrate the City’s centennial and usher in the holiday season at the Miracle on Main Street, Saturday, December 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Westlake Shopping Center. Santa is scheduled to arrive in a horse-drawn sleigh in a parade down the shopping center’s Main Street at noon.

The holiday festivities start with a pre-parade party featuring Radio Disney’s Rockin’ Road Crew at 11:00 a.m. Radio Disney’s crew will lead games, crafts, and dancing for kids. Jefferson High School’s marching band will lead the parade, along with Daly City Mayor Carol Klatt and Daly City/Colma Chamber of Commerce President Georgette Sarles. An assortment of holiday characters will join the fun aboard Daly City’s antique fire engine.

Following the parade, kids can pose for free photos with Santa, visit a face painting booth, listen to carolers, or make holiday crafts.

The fun continues at the Daly City Yuletide Celebration and Tree Lighting Ceremony from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Pacelli Events Center, 145 Lake Merced Blvd. Visitors are encouraged to bring a canned food item or a new unwrapped gift. The food drive will benefit the North Peninsula Food Pantry and Dining Center of Daly City and gift donations will help support Operation Santa Claus.
