Celebrate Latino Heritage Month in Daly City on Saturday, September 23

Join the City of Daly City in celebrating National Latino Heritage Month on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from noon to 3:00 p.m. at War Memorial Community Center, 6655 Mission Street.  This free and family friendly event will highlight the diversity of Latino/Hispanic cultures through music, dance performances, food, and information booths.  During National Latino Heritage Month (September 16 – October 15), the City of Daly City recognizes, honors and celebrates the many contributions of the Latino/Hispanic community in Daly City. Through their contributions, they have enriched our City and have strengthened our cultural ties to Spain, Latin America and neighboring Central America.

The entertainment program includes performances by:

•             Raices De Mexico – Folk Dancing
•             Yenis – Zumba and Salsa
•             Abada Capoeira – Demonstration of Capoeira and the Makulele
•             Daneca – Flamenco Dancing
•             Marianna Roman – Balet Folklorico

Food will be provided by La Torta Sabrosa – FREE while supplies last.  Come early for your complimentary taco, rice, beans, and aquas frescas!
