Kasayahan Sa Daly City Set for Saturday, October 12 at Marchbank Park

Kasayahan Sa Daly City, Daly City’s annual Filipino-American History Month celebration, is set for Saturday, October 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Marchbank Park.  The line-up of entertainers for Daly City’s largest community gathering includes One Vo1ce, Gabe Bondoc, Melvin Sings and Maddie B.  Admission is free and visitors are encouraged to take public transportation or park at the southernmost parking structure at DC Station, 2001 Junipero Serra Blvd.  Marchbank Park is a short walk from the Daly City BART station, and is located adjacent to DC Station.

This marks the third consecutive year that Kasayahan will take place in Marchbank Park.  Veteran festival goers know that the second level of the south parking garage at DC Station has a pedestrian exit that leads directly to the entrance of Marchbank Park.   Parking at DC Station is always free.

If you plan to visit Kasayahan Sa Daly City, feel free to pack a blanket or lawn chairs.  Six food trucks will encircle the park, offering a variety of traditional and contemporary Filipino cuisine.  Gilman Brewing returns for the third year as the exclusive beer vendor of Kasayahan Sa Daly City.  100% of the proceeds from beer sales will benefit the non-profit group, Daly City Baseball Association.

One Vo1ce, a Filipina vocal group that formed in 1994, will headline this year’s event. Originally consisting of 5 members, the group now consists of three vocalists: Monica, Marie and Mae. Throughout their musical journey, they traveled from coast to coast to perform and promote their music. They were fortunate enough to humbly share the stage with numerous renowned artists, including Pink, Enrique Iglesias, and Destiny's Child. It's been a long hiatus, but One Vo1ce has returned to the studio to work on new material. They look forward to releasing their new single, "Passion."

Gabe Bondoc made a name for himself with his catchy original songs and acoustic renditions of popular music.  He’s known for taking a song down to its very essence and performing it with a style that has continued to inspire hundreds of thousands of people around the world.  Gabe Bondoc’s newly released EP entitled “ONE” is a revisit and fresh new spin on a collection of his favorite songs.
