Join Us for the ‘Free from Violence’ Event and Resource Fair on Thurs., Oct. 3 at 5pm

You are invited to attend the 15th annual Free from Violence program and resource fair organized by ALLICE Alliance for Community Empowerment.

When: Thursday, October 3, 2019, from 5 -7:30 pm

Where: City Hall, 333 90th Street, Daly City CA

Held every October during both Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Filipino American History Month, this event fulfills the all-volunteer nonprofit’s mission of uniting the community to confront and combat the social problem.

Daly City Vice Mayor Glenn Sylvester and Council Member Juslyn Manalo will welcome attendees and reinforce the City’s application to become a Welcoming City and a safe place for all beginning at home.

Philippine Deputy Consul General Raquel Solano will lead the recitation of ALLICE’s Pledge to Help End Intimate Partner & Family Abuse. To give hope to those suffering in silence, Colma Mayor and longtime ALLICE Kumare Joanne del Rosario will share her story of surviving an abusive relationship. 

Community-based resource providers will be present to discuss their programs with attendees.

Sponsored by Jun & Tessie Madrinan, Nenar & South San Francisco Council Member Flore Nicolas, Armi Labitan and Tom Solinger and community-minded individuals and groups, the event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Raffle prizes will be drawn (participants must be present at the time of raffle).
