Jefferson Elementary School District Seeks Applicants for Citizens’ Oversight Committee
The Board of Education of the Jefferson Elementary School District is seeking qualified, interested individuals to serve on a committee of community leaders which will serve as the independent Citizens’ Oversight Committee (“COC”) for the implementation of the District’s Measure I school facilities bond program. In accordance with Education Code Section 15278(b), the Citizens’ Oversight Committee shall:
Inform the public concerning the District’s expenditure of Measure I bond proceeds;
Review expenditure reports produced by the District to ensure that Measure I bond proceeds were expended only for the purposes set forth in Measure I; and
Present to the Board of Education in public session, an annual written report outlining their activities and conclusions regarding the expenditure of Measure I bond proceeds.
Application forms are available at the District Office, 101 Lincoln Avenue, Daly City, CA 94015 or it may be downloaded from the District’s website at www.jsd.k12.ca.us. Completed applications should be sent to the Superintendent’s Office of the Jefferson Elementary School District by 4:30 p.m. on April 22, 2013.
