Faces of Hope Exhibit Opens May 1 to Commemorate Mental Health Awareness Month

Stigma Free San Mateo County is hosting a reception in the Octagon Gallery at City Hall on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. to celebrate the opening of the Faces of Hope art exhibit. The exhibit will showcase the faces and stories of individuals who have experiences living with mental illnesses or substance use conditions.  Each person featured in the exhibit is a San Mateo County resident. All have chosen to share their stories of hope and resilience despite living with a mental illness or substance use condition. 

The Faces of Hope exhibit coincides with Mental Health Awareness Month.  The Octagon Gallery is located on the Third Floor of City Hall, 333 90th Street, Daly City.  The Faces of Hope exhibit will run from May 1 to May 31.  Admission is free.  The Octagon Gallery is open to the public during normal business hours.
