Draft Vista Grande Drainage Basin Alternatives Analysis Report Available for Public Review

The North San Mateo County Sanitation District, a subsidiary of the City of Daly City, has released for public review and comment its Draft Vista Grande Drainage Basin Alternatives Analysis Report.  The report consists of an executive summary and four separate volumes and is available on Daly City’s Web Page at:

The Draft Report represents the first phase of completed assessments to address stormwater capacity issues impacting the northern portion of the Daly City watershed.  The Draft Report presents a range of alternatives aimed at identifying downstream improvements along the Vista Grande Canal to manage storm flows as well as opportunities to recharge surface water at Lake Merced.

The release of the Draft Report begins a 60-day public review.  A Public Hearing on the Draft Report is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2011 in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 333-90th Street, Daly City.  At this hearing, the City Council, serving in its capacity of the Board of Directors of the North San Mateo County Sanitation District, will consider acceptance of the Draft Report and direct staff on its preferred project alternative.
