Daly City’s Dept. of Library and Recreation to Host Beers of Bavaria Workshop on February 9

The Daly City Department of Library and Recreation Services is hosting Books and Brews, Part 2, Beers of Bavaria, on Thursday, February 9, 2017 starting at 6:00 p.m. in Café Doelger, 111 Lake Merced Blvd., Daly City.  The event will feature performances by author Frank Portman (Dr. Frank of the Mr. T Experience and author of King Dork, Andromeda Klein, and King Dork Approximately) and Kepi Ghoulie (formerly of the Groovie Ghoulies), with D.J. Sid Presley.

Participants will be guided through a carefully selected sampling of Pils, Kölsch, Dunkel, Dopplebock, and Hefeweizen by one of the Bay Area’s preeminent German beer experts.   The fee is $25 and includes a complimentary beer glass, beer samples (21+ over w/ i.d.), and an assortment of Bavarian inspired snacks.  Designated drivers and other non-beer drinkers will be admitted for free.  To reserve a spot, visit www.dalycity.org/beer.  Call (650) 991-8001 for more information.
