Daly City Seeking Applicants to Fill Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee Vacancies

Daly City is seeking volunteers to serve on the City’s Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee (B/PAC). B/PAC members help City staff review pedestrian and bicycle improvement projects, provide input to help improve pedestrian and bicycle safety, and assist with the review of grant opportunities for bikeway and pedestrian facility funding. Committee members have considered and helped secure grant funding for the lighted crosswalk at Mission Street and Evergreen Avenue, the Lake Merced Boulevard Bike Lanes, and the Southgate Avenue Bike Lanes.  B/PAC members also assisted staff with the review of the recently updated the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.

B/PAC meetings take place quarterly, on the first Wednesday in January, April, July and October, at City Hall in Daly City. Existing and past members are bicycle and walking enthusiasts, students and commuters. Members must live or work in Daly City to serve on the B/PAC.
